AmuthaSurabhi 2025: Confidence, Care, and the First Gift of Nourishment

For many mothers, the earliest days of motherhood come with as many questions as they do moments of joy. What helps is not just information—but reassurance, clarity, and the confidence to trust one’s own instincts.

It was this space that AmuthaSurabhi 2025 set out to create.

On December 21, 2025, District 3241C, in association with Thottil Foundation—the social wing of A4 Hospitals and Fertility Centre, Chennai —and South Madras Lions Club, brought together pregnant and breastfeeding mothers for a focused initiative on breastfeeding awareness and maternal well-being. The presence of the District Governor and his team added both encouragement and a sense of shared purpose to the program.

The session moved beyond a conventional workshop format. Healthcare professionals led conversations that were direct, practical, and rooted in everyday realities. Common concerns were addressed openly, and myths were discussed without judgment. Through role plays and interactive talk segments, situations that many mothers quietly navigate were brought into the open and explored together.

One of the most memorable moments came through the Confidence Ramp Walk—a simple yet powerful expression that celebrated motherhood not as a time of uncertainty, but as one of strength and self-assurance.

The program was designed to create awareness while also easing the anxieties that often come with new motherhood. The focus was on both knowledge and emotional well-being. Participants left with a clearer understanding, a stronger sense of self-belief, and the reassurance that they were not alone.
