Editorial Note
Dear Fellow Lions,
Why focus on all-women Lions clubs? Because membership is more than a number on a district report. Who joins a club influences what it notices, whose experiences enter the room and which ideas receive sustained attention.
While editing this feature, what stood out was the range within the clubs themselves. There are members who have spent decades in Lions and women who joined only recently; professionals, entrepreneurs, educators and homemakers; clubs that began as Lioness clubs and others formed for a new generation. Their projects are equally varied, but their value lies also in the relationships, confidence and leadership built through doing the work together.
This issue makes space for those stories and for the voices of women members themselves. We hope it encourages clubs to look closely at who is present, who is missing and how more women can find meaningful ways to participate in Lions and shape service.
