Arora, IPDG of District 321B2 and Chairperson of Lions Jhansi Seva Foundation, spent years building the case for an old age home in Jhansi — not a facility in the institutional sense, but a place where residents would wake up to sunlight, familiar faces and the small dignities that make a life feel like their own. The planning took time. The approvals took longer. But the vision held.
The project found critical backing in Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), which contributed nearly US$52,000 toward a total project cost of approximately US$69,000. Past International Directors Jitendra Singh Chauhan and G. S. Hora, along with LCIF Area Leader Abhinav Singh, provided guidance that helped move the initiative from paper to reality. PDG Visheshwar Shukla secured land on lease through Jhansi Vishal Lions Club, District 321B2, giving the project its physical foundation.

Spacious rooms, common areas where residents can gather, healthcare support and rooftop solar installations combine practical care with responsible operating costs. Every detail reflects a simple objective: to create a place that feels less like an institution and more like a home.
On June 16, 2026, the Jhansi Lions Old Age Home opened its doors. The inauguration brought together Past International Director and LCIF Leader Jitendra Singh Chauhan, Member of Parliament Anurag Sharma, MLA Ravi Sharma, Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission Lion Dr. Babita Singh Chauhan, District Governor Sammati Sarraf, Vice District Governors Sharad Agnihotri and Vishwa Ratan Tripathi, and Lions leaders from across the region.
