District Governor Daxesh Soni of District 3232-B1 believes that children nurtured with strong values and moral foundations become the architects of a vibrant, resilient nation. It’s this belief that led him to designate Lions Quest as his flagship program for 2025-26.
The spark behind this initiative burns brightest in Lion Roopa Shah, the District Chairperson and a Shining Star awardee. Her eyes light up when she talks about her two-year journey with Lions Quest. “Working with children isn’t just an assignment for me—it’s my calling,” she says, explaining why she was ready to take on the challenge once again this year. “Helping young minds navigate life’s challenges and watching them grow into confident individuals fills me with purpose.”
Under Roopa’s stewardship, the District has already conducted two Teachers’ Training Workshops this year. The first gathered 28 educators at the serene Jeevantirth Centre in Koba, Gandhinagar on September 27-28, 2024. Lions Clubs of Sarkhej, Palanpur, Sanand, Ahmedabad Satellite, and Ahmedabad Ellis Bridge joined hands to make this possible.

The second workshop brought together 23 teachers in Patan on November 23-24, 2024, with crucial support from Lions Clubs of Patan and Ahmedabad Host. Additionally, 32 teachers who had previously undergone training returned for a refresher course on August 22, 2024, in Ahmedabad, polishing their skills and sharing experiences from their classrooms.
The impact rippled beyond workshops when over 700 students participated in a rally to spread awareness about the program, during the Rohit Mehta Lions Quest Week. The students also performed a skit showcasing the program’s principles. Caps bearing the Lions Quest logo were distributed to all the students.
Appreciating the workshop Bhoomi Rajagopal, a teacher at Maharaja BM High School in Patan expressed her deep gratitude to Lions for helping her sharpen her skills and create a positive impact on the lives of her students.
Iqra Shaikh, a class eight student from Sadhu Vaswani School experienced this shift firsthand. Once struggling with anxiety that affected her studies, she found practical coping strategies through the program.
For Roopa Shah, these stories fuel her determination to expand the program further. “I believe my journey has just started,” she says, her voice filled with quiet determination. “There’s so much more to accomplish before I step back.”
Her next vision? A pioneering workshop focused on Empowering Minds And Enriching Lives—the first of its kind in their multiple district. With financial support from MP Finance and Swaroopa Foundation, this dream stands on solid ground.
