Dear Lions,

As we begin a new Lion year, I warmly welcome the members of our new Board of Management and Editorial Team. Their experience, ideas and commitment will help the Lion (India) magazine remain a vibrant platform for sharing the work, voices and achievements of Lions across the country.

This year holds particular significance as we enter the final year of MISSION 1.5. We have come a long way, but the goal before us calls for one more determined, collective effort. Every new member, every new club and every Lion who helps another person discover the value of service brings us closer to success. Each of us has a part to play.

International President Mark Lyon’s theme reminds us that our organisation is rooted in service. A tree with strong roots grows steadily, withstands challenges and continues to flourish for years. Service is the root that has sustained Lions for more than a century. The stronger and more meaningful our service, the more our clubs, membership and communities will thrive.

With Immediate Past International President A. P. Singh now serving as Chairperson of Lions Clubs International Foundation, ISAME has begun the year with an extraordinary demonstration of support. The region contributed USD 6.4 million to LCIF within the first four days of the Lion year, reflecting both its generosity and its immense potential. Let us sustain this momentum throughout the year and strengthen LCIF’s ability to serve communities in need.

The Weeks of Service will give Lions focused opportunities to respond to important community needs and expand their reach. I encourage every club to participate wholeheartedly and make each initiative meaningful.

Finally, let us tell these stories well. Share your strongest service stories through your District Governor for publication in The Lion (India). A story told with clarity and authenticity can inspire others, encourage participation and take the spirit of service far beyond the community in which it began.
