District Governors who qualify through the Strong Finish Initiative will be recognized at the Lions International Convention in Hong Kong and will receive a Limited-Edition Commemorative Medal celebrating their achievement. This exclusive recognition is a lasting symbol of your commitment to membership growth and your district’s success.
Your Goal: Achieve Net Growth in June
To qualify, your district must achieve net growth during the month of June on a standalone basis, meaning the number of members added in June exceeds the number of members dropped during the same period.
Recognition Criteria
You will qualify for recognition if you:
- Achieve net growth in June on a standalone basis, and
- Reach at least 50% of your annual recruitment target or 50% of your annual net growth target

VDG Challenge Recognition 2026
Leadership is measured by impact—and the VDG Challenge Recognition celebrates Vice District Governors who are building the future by chartering new clubs ahead of their term. Outstanding leaders will be recognized at the 2026 Convention in Hong Kong.
Qualifying Criteria:
First Vice District Governors (2025–2026):
Extend 2 new clubs during your Vice District Governor years
Second Vice District Governors (2025–2026):
Extend 1 new club during your Second Vice District Governor year

Finish the Lion year strong and earn an exclusive MISSION 1.5 Hero Award Medal for your outstanding commitment to membership growth.
Silver Medal
Achieve 75% of your membership target and sponsor 5 new members or charter 1 new club.
Gold Medal
Achieve 100% of your membership target and sponsor 5 new members or charter 1 new club.
Gold Medal recipients will also be recognized on lionsclubs.org, in LION Magazine, and at the Lions International Convention.
Zone & Region Chairpersons
Zone Chairpersons (4+ clubs) and Region Chairpersons (8+ clubs) can earn a Gold Medal by achieving overall growth in their zone/region and sponsoring 5 new members or chartering a new club.
