Hope, Health, and a Helping Hand Lions of District 322A At Work

In a quiet corner of Ranchi, an elderly woman regains her sight through a free cataract surgery. Across town, teenagers gather for career counseling sessions, while diabetic patients learn about nutrition and exercise. In another part of the town, club members ready food packages for the local blind school and orphanage. These are just glimpses of how Ranchi Samarpan Lions Club of District 322A is making a difference in their community.

The club’s focus extends from immediate needs to long-term wellness.  The club runs regular health camps where medical professionals screen for diabetes and provide dietary guidance. Their eye care initiative has helped restore vision to numerous residents who couldn’t afford surgery. Youth development stands as another cornerstone of their service. Through the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ program, the club supports girls’ education and conducts mental health workshops for young people. Cancer awareness camps help women learn about early detection, while regular counseling sessions address various health concerns. During winter, club members distribute blankets to those in need.

Community bonds are strengthened through picnics, exhibitions and cultural celebrations like Sawan Milan, Holi Milan and Diwali gatherings.

Each initiative meets a specific community need, powered by volunteers who serve tirelessly throughout the year.
