The high-level Influencers Meet held on September 17, 2025, in Chennai marked a significant milestone in MD 3241’s membership growth strategy. Conceptualized by International Director Magesh and Constitutional Area Leader PID R. Sampath, the event was designed to unite, inspire, and mobilise senior Lion leaders in support of MISSION 1.5.
In addition to the two visionaries behind the initiative, the gathering brought together GAT Area Leader PDG R. Pandiarajan, PID N. S. Sankar and 90 key leaders from across all sub-districts. Chairperson – Influencers Team Vitto Placka led the proceedings, with seamless coordination by MD 3241 MISSION 1.5 Coordinator V. S. B. Sunder. MD GMT, GET, and GST Coordinators also played a key role, demonstrating unity and teamwork across all GAT functions.
A major highlight of the meet was the unveiling of a structured Influencer Framework to strengthen MISSION 1.5 across MD 3241. Under this model, one Past District Governor from each sub-district has been designated as a MISSION 1.5 Influencer. Each Past District Governor, in turn, identified ten experienced Lions with proven expertise in membership growth. These trained influencers will work closely with District Governor Teams and MISSION 1.5 leadership to drive sustained results. The framework has already demonstrated measurable impact, with 19 new clubs initiated and scheduled for completion by December 12, 2025.
Participants received specially designed MISSION 1.5 T-shirts, symbolizing both unity and commitment. The atmosphere throughout the session reflected enthusiasm, shared ownership, and a clear focus on the ambitious goal of adding 10,000 new members to MD 3241.
International Director S. Magesh applauded the GAT leaders for their proactive engagement and expressed confidence that MD 3241 is on track to meet — and surpass — the membership goals set by Lions International. Leadership presentations reviewed current progress, outlined clear targets for each sub-district, and secured commitments from influencers to charter one new club or add 20 new members.
Energized and united, MD 3241 is well on its way to advancing MISSION 1.5 with measurable impact.
