Lions Clubs of MD 318 Respond Swiftly During The Wayanad Landslides
On August 15, 2024, Leo Clubs across MD 3234 celebrated the country’s 78th Independence Day in their local communities with enthusiasm and purpose. From Nashik to Aurangabad, Khamgaon to Jalgaon, Leos orchestrated a symphony of events that showcased national pride and patriotic spirit.
The excitement was palpable at the Zilla Parishad School, Matori, Nashik, Maharashtra as members of Nashik Falcons Leo Club (District 3234-D2) gathered for the Independence Day celebrations. The event began with a flag hoisting ceremony, followed by impressive student dance performances.
Leos of District 3234-H1 organized a 15-km cycling rally across key locations in the district. Over 150 enthusiastic cyclists of all ages participated in the well-coordinated event, highlighting the values of freedom, fitness, and environmental sustainability.

Aurangabad Icons Leo Club celebrated the day at Bhagwan Baba Balika Ashram, engaging young minds in flag painting. and other creative pursuits.
Khamgaon Main Leo Club organized a vibrant program for the local schools and colleges. The event highlighted the club’s dedication and organizational skills as Leos managed everything from invitations, trophies and certificates to sound systems and stage arrangements, with clockwork precision.
Gold City of Jalgaon Leo Club held a multifaceted celebration at their adopted Jai Durga School in Meherun. The day began with a flag salutation, followed by a spirited rally where participants sporting flag colours, marched together. The club also conducted a tree plantation drive and competitions for singing, essay writing, and rakhi-making. The highlight of the event was the 75-feet Tiranga rally, featuring a massive tricolor flag, carried by students and members of the community.
