Winters in the Rajasthan desert can be harsh and unforgiving, especially for those without enough warm clothing to protect them. For the underprivileged families living in the bastis of Bhilwara, the season often means cold nights, thin layers, and little relief from the biting wind.
On August 17, 2025, the Bhilwara Star Youth Leo Club, District 3233-E1, stepped in with a clothes donation drive. Led by Club President Riddhima Panwar, the club rallied students and community members to contribute clean, usable clothing. The Leos collected, sorted, and personally delivered each piece to families across the basti.
The initiative met an immediate need while strengthening the bond between volunteers and the community.
Every jacket, sweater, or pair of trousers offered more than warmth—it signalled care.By distributing the clothing directly, the club ensured families received what they needed without delay or complication.
What began as a straightforward response to a need grew into something more meaningful. The gratitude of the recipients and the energy of the young volunteers showed how small acts of service build relationships that last well beyond the day’s work. The Leos learned that meaningful impact doesn’t always come from large-scale programs—sometimes it starts with noticing what your neighbours need.
Through this simple, thoughtful effort, members of the Bhilwara Star Youth Leo Club showed how compassion, when turned into action, can make a community feel seen, supported, and connected.
