Service is what life is all about. And who knows this better than Lions? Every day, in every way, Lions across the world are making a lasting impact. Lions of District 316D are quietly carrying this tradition forward under the leadership of District Governor Gadde Seshagiri, creating meaningful change in areas from diabetes awareness to childhood cancer support.
The district’s hunger relief work has grown beyond all projections. While the initial goal was to serve one lakh people this Lions year, clubs have already reached nearly five lakh by February 2025. This number continues to climb as local clubs like Vijayawada Vidyadhara Lions Club provide meals to vulnerable populations and deliver essential supplies to residents of old age homes and orphanages.
Regular diabetes screening camps combine testing with practical education on managing the condition. These community-based programs have helped thousands understand diabetes risks and take control of their health.

Vijayawada East Impact Lions Club fostered scientific innovation through a student science fair.
Clubs of the district are at the forefront when it comes to conducting eye screening camps, providing spectacles and facilitating crucial surgeries for those in need. Vijayawada East Lions Club conducts free surgeries every week.
The childhood cancer awareness programs has reached thousands of young people, helping families recognize early warning signs and connect with available support services.
Several clubs have planted thousands of trees and committed to their long-term care, ensuring environmental benefits for future generations.
In every corner of District 316D, Lions’ dedication to service shines through daily acts of compassion, turning the simple promise of “We Serve” into reality.
