When International President A.P. Singh visited District 3242F on October 2, 2025, he inaugurated 25 new clubs—a reflection of steady growth under District Governor D. Manivannan PMJF’s leadership. The expansion has brought the district to the top of global rankings, but what stands out most is how that growth is being put to use. The increase in membership has further strengthened the district’s capacity to serve, and to take on projects that create deeper, more visible impact.
During his visit, President A.P. Singh also handed over the keys of 10 E-Autos to the beneficiaries. These vehicles—one in each revenue district—form the backbone of the District Governor’s Dream Project, Meals on Wheels, which delivers nutritious meals to elderly residents, widows, and others who need support.
What makes this initiative even more meaningful is who’s behind the wheel. The drivers are all women—many of them widows—who’ve been guided through the process of obtaining licences and learning a new skill.
When the vehicles aren’t delivering meals, they operate as public transport, giving the drivers a way to earn a steady income. It’s a practical model—one that addresses hunger while creating real opportunities at the same time.
Each E-Auto costs ₹4 lakh, funded through a partnership where the sponsoring Club contributes ₹1.10 lakh and the balance ₹2.90 lakh is contributed by the District Service Fund. The vehicles carry the names of their sponsoring clubs, a visible reminder of the collaboration that makes the work possible.
The project didn’t emerge from a single, sweeping plan. It grew from recognising two needs—hunger and livelihood—and finding a way to respond to both. The women driving these E-Autos are now part of their communities in a new way: as providers, earners, and participants in something larger than themselves.
By successfully combining service with sustainability, District 3242F offers a model that is both practical and replicable.
